Family couldn't stop eating, praising my efforts as they munched along.Definitely keeping this recipe, altho' I seemed to have put in too much milk to make a stirrable dough, it was worth making by hand instead of the machine. It's also got some Italian sweets, which I haven't tried yet. I really like Carol Fields' Italian Bake...Marie<br />I really like Carol Fields' Italian Baker. There are so many wonderful breads in her book. This one is especially beautiful and reminds me of Challa except easier to shape. This one would be great as french toast I think so I will have to make this recipe so that I can find out for myself.
